ASB Scholarship
To help promote agriculture as a career choice among our youth, the County Agricultural Service Board sponsors an annual scholarship for students who are pursuing a field of study related to the Agriculture Industry.
To ensure applicants are eligible for the scholarship, applicants must:
- Be graduating, or have already graduated, from Tofield, Holden, or Viking High Schools.
- Be enrolled in a post-secondary program of two or more years in length, that is agriculture or agriculture related (Ie. Environment, Horticulture, Agribusiness, Ag-related mechanics, etc.).
- Provide proof of enrollment.
Successful applicants will receive $500.00.
Deadline for application submissions is September 1, of each year.

AAAF Bursary
As an ongoing tribute to active and retired AAAF members who have passed away, and in the spirit of continuing education valued by our Association, the Association of Alberta’s Agricultural Fieldmen created the AAAF Memorial Bursary.
The bursary is intended for students continuing their education in a College or University program that focuses on Agriculture or Environmental Science. One $ 1,000.00 bursary is available annually for each of the 5 Provincial regions of the AAAF.

Reimbursement for Attendance at an Agricultural Event
Under the Agricultural Educational Opportunities for Rural Landowners Policy, County Council shall provide financial assistance to rural landowners who attend agricultural events that provide opportunities for education with an agricultural focus. Click here to view the policy.
Educational opportunities shall be determined at the sole discretion of the County and may include conferences, field days, and seminars related to the agricultural industry; either in primary production or value-added production associated with the landowner's operation.
Eligible residents shall be reimbursed for the registration fee for the agricultural event, to a maximum of $100 per participant. Incidental expenses such as meals, kilometres, accommodations, etc. shall be the responsibility of the participant.
If you wish to request reimbursement for an agricultural event you are attending, contact the County Office by phone or e-mail, at least one day prior to attending the event. If you are deemed eligible for reimbursement, you must submit a claim form, accompanied by detailed receipts, to the County. Applications for reimbursement will be considered in the order in which they are received.
