Submitting a Nomination for Councillor

Getting Started
Begin by reviewing the Candidate Information Package, this comprehensive guide provides all the details on what’s required and how to navigate the process of running for Council.
Please find below all the required forms along with important instructions. Be sure to review the Electoral Division Map below to confirm your division.
If you wish to begin campaigning before submitting your nomination forms, you must complete the Notice of Intent form. This form can be submitted at any time before or alongside your nomination package.
Nomination Forms
All required forms can be found below organized by County division.
NEW – a criminal record must be filed with the nomination form. See the link below for details on the type of criminal record check required
Note: Signatures must be original inked signatures, not digital or electronic.
Submitting Forms
- Submit your Notice of Intent, or Nomination Package to the Returning Officer, Margaret Jones, at the County Service Centre.
- If submitting before September 22, 2025, please book an appointment using the contact information below.
