FIRE RESTRICTION IN EFFECT

Effective July 22, 2024, Beaver Emergency Services Commission has declared a Fire Restriction.

The fire restriction prohibits all open-air burning. All fire permits are now suspended and no new fire permits will be issued while the fire restriction is in effect.

Please extinguish all previously permitted fires and check recently burned brush piles to ensure they are extinguished completely.

Campfires with screens in approved devices burning clean wood and approved burn barrels are still allowed without a permit as per BESC Bylaw 7-2021.

Citizens can continue to burn, for cooking and recreational purposes, in approved heating or cooking appliances that uses clean wood, charcoal, propane, or natural gas as sources of fuel.

Construction guidelines for an approved fire pit and burning barrel can be found at https://loom.ly/u_u7qfs An application is not required to have an approved pit or burn barrel and is the responsibility of the constructor to ensure that all guidelines are followed.
